Cellular Bonding for Warehousing

Corporate level connectivity via LTE/5G

Amazon require a reliable, high-performing connectivity solution to connect their warehouses to their HQ. These warehouses are often located outside urban areas where fixed-line availability is limited or unreliable. Therefore, to provide a fully resilience and redundant internet connection multiple internet sources are required.

Cellular bonding to achieve high throughput

Amazon requires a minimum throughput of 1Gbps at each warehouse. Therefore, the solution is deployed with multiple 4/5G cellular connections bonded with fixed line(s) at each site into a single connection that meets the required performance level.

Universal solution on a global scale

The solution is standardised so that Amazon can use it globally with guaranteed performance and reliability. It is currently deployed at Warehouses in The EU, The UK, US, Canada, the Middle East, Australia and India.

Carrier neutral implementation

The solution needed to support multiple carriers for network redundancy. The warehouse connectivity is critical; therefore, our M2M global SIM cards are deployed with the solution. These SIM cards support at least two carriers per site to enable greater flexibility, reliability, and control, improving performance significantly and minimising downtime

Plug ā€˜nā€™ Play solution

The solution is offered as a fully managed, plug-and-play bonded cellular connection in all required locations. Amazon engineers only need to connect the portable travel case CPE to a power plug and the LAN cable to their edge router at each warehouse, regardless of the warehouse location or country
